A PLAY FOR THIS MOMENT

“Here There Are Blueberries should be staged in every major city in America.”

- Evan Henerson, BroadwayWorld

Human kind is facing critical questions: How will we collectively move forward in our global community? In the face of increased tribalism and nationalism, what role will empathy and justice play? What is our national and individual responsibility to stand against hatred today?

Using the Holocaust as a lens, Here There Are Blueberries poses these questions in a way never framed before. Through the characters in the play and the shocking images in the Karl Höcker album, the production compels the audience to look inward and profoundly contemplate the role each of us plays as neighbors, coworkers, leaders, and members of the human race.
